SUMMARY:2026 CPCA Day at the Capitol
DESCRIPTION:CPCA Advocates’ Day at the Capitol (DAC) is an annual event that allows patients\, clinicians\, health center staff\, and consortia to engage in dialogue with legislators and legislative staff about budget and legislative priorities impacting community health centers (CHCs). Day at the Capitol provides a forum in which the voice of CHCs can unite and be heard. Participants will attend legislative visits with their respective representatives to emphasize the importance of CHCs in the current year’s budget and legislative session\, in addition to expressing the vital need for administrative streamlining. We highly encourage all types of health center staff and patients to attend\, as policy and advocacy experience is not required!

DESCRIPTION:Every August\, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) sponsors National Health Center Week (NHCW) to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1\,512 Community Health Centers (CHCs). NHCW is an opportunity to highlight the commitment and passion of CHC patients\, staff\, board members\, and supporters who make it possible to provide quality\, comprehensive healthcare services to 52 million*1 patients across more than 17\,000 communities.\n\nNHCW 2026 Theme: Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most \nThis year’s theme celebrates how CHCs use creativity and commitment to advance innovative solutions that meet patients where they are and improve primary care delivery\, access\, and outcomes nationwide. This includes partnering with key stakeholders and elected officials to strengthen relationships that support high-quality\, patient-centered care in the communities they serve.
